Weekly Happenings

Can you believe this is the last Weekly Happenings?  This year has flown by!
Instead of explaining each subject, I am going to explain each day and the events we have!

Here is what's happening this week:

Tuesday: We have Jr. Achievement in the morning. In the afternoon, we will have an extra recess and Popsicles to celebrate their hard work on the MAP. Students can dress up like a super hero!

Wednesday: The students will present their Shark Tank business ideas to another fourth grade class. We hope to get lots of investors! We also have our End of the Year Parties from 2:00-3:00. Thank you in advance for you help!

Thursday: We will attend the 5th grade Dare Graduation Thursday morning. In the afternoon, we have Fly Up Day. The students will also get to present their final book club presentations to the class.

Friday: Our last day! It is also a half day. We have our last CLC assembly this day. Please have your child wear their Blue Ribbon t-shirts.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Weekly Happenings

Hello!  We have a lot of fun surprises and activities planned for this week, along with a lot of learning! Each day we have something fun planned for our class.

Writing: We are publishing our literary essays this week. The students will be publishing on the computer throughout the week. Our goal is to have them completed by Thursday. Most students are very close to finishing! They have worked so hard on these essays!

Reading: This week we will wrap up our book clubs with final presentations. We will also be working on Readers' Theater, which will help with their fluency and expression.

Word Study: Their spelling test will be this Thursday. This will be their last test of the year!

Social Studies: The students are hard at work developing a product or service. They are working together to find ways to sell and advertise their product or service. Ultimately, they will try to convince their fellow fourth graders to invest in their product or service!

Math: This week the students will be working on math activities that review different fourth grade concepts. They will also be working on tessellation projects.
