Weekly Happenings

Hello! I hope everyone had a great weekend and got to enjoy the amazing weather!

Here is what's going on this week:

Writing: The students' informational books are due this Wednesday. They will begin working on their posters and speeches for the Expert Fair. I hope to see you at the Expert Fair on Wednesday, March 9th at 9:00.

Reading: We are continuing to learn about the different types of figurative language poets use. We've learned about similes, metaphors, personification, idioms, and hyperbole.

Word Study: Due to interruptions during our word study time, their tests will be pushed back to next Wednesday, March 9.

Social Studies: This week the students will be part of an interactive Oregon Trail game. They will work in groups to make it to the end of the trail. They will have to make decisions and face challenged along the way.

Math: We are continuing to learn about the Customary Measurement system. We will also move onto the Metric Measurement system. Their test over both measurement systems will be next Friday.

Important Reminders:
