Hello! I hope everyone had a great weekend! It finally felt like a fall weekend!
Here is what's happening this week:
Writing: This is the final week to work on their realistic fiction stories! We are publishing and illustrating our stories today! They are due this Friday! On Friday we will have a Writer's Buffet where students get to read each other's work and leave compliments!
Reading: This week we are continuing to work on making inferences. We will use Chris Van Allsburg's, The Stranger, to make inferences!
Math: We are wrapping up chapter 3 this week. We will work on problem solving and get ready for our test. Please practice multiplication facts with your child. It is so important they know all of their facts. The chapter 3 test will be this Thursday.
Social Studies: We are starting chapter 3 this week. They will learn about the first groups of Missourians. We will also learn about timelines and make personal timelines.
Word Study: Each spelling group got new words today. Their test will be next Thursday and Friday. Blue and Purple will test on Thursday. Green and orange will test on Friday.
