Weekly Happenings

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and got to enjoy the beautiful weather. Thank you in advance for the work you are putting into the Halloween Party! I also look forward to seeing everyone at conferences tonight and Wednesday.

Here is what's happening this week:

Writing: We are publishing our narratives this week. We are doing this on Google Drive. They have instructions for how to get on. The narratives are due Wednesday.

Reading: This week we are continuing to practice making inferences. We will be using short stories to help make inferences.

Math: We are finishing chapter 4 this week. The math test covering multiplication will be Wednesday. We will be reviewing today and tomorrow. For this test, it is so important the students know their facts! The students understand the process of multiplication but are making mistakes with their fact fluency. Please encourage your child to practice at home.

Social Studies: This week we will be learning about Lewis and Clark. The students will be building prior knowledge to prepare for a guest speaker next week. A retired Lindbergh teacher will come in each day next week to teach the students about The Louisiana Purchase and Lewis and Clark.

Important Reminders:
Oct. 27 and 29 - conferences
Oct. 29- Math test
Oct. 29 - Narratives Due
Oct. 30 - Halloween Party and Pumpkin Run
Oct. 31 - NO SCHOOL
