Weekly Happenings

Hello! I hope everyone got to enjoy the weekend's beautiful weather!

Here is what's happening this week:

Writing: We will spend this week getting ready for our Expert Fair! The Expert Fair is on Thursday at 9:00. Parents can stop by at any time between 9:00-10:00 and stay for as long as you'd like. I hope you can make it!

Reading: This week we will continue learning strategies to better understand non-fiction texts. We will continue practicing identifying and analyzing text features and text structure. We will also work on finding the main idea of a non-fiction passage.

Science: We will start Chapter 9 of science, which covers electricity and magnetism. This week we will learn about static electricity and how to create a complete circuit.

Math: This week we will finish and test over Chapter 11. The test will be this Thursday, due to an assembly and half day on Friday. Please encourage your child to begin studying as early as possible.
